DNA REPAIR - USP

DNA Repair Group

The DNA repair lab was created at Biomedical Sciences Institute in march 1996, after a move from Biosciences Institute, both at the University of São Paulo. The focus of research area in this lab is how cells deal with damages on their genomes. DNA repair genes are always on our discussions and we aim to make some important contributions on the field. It should also be pointed out that there is a strong interest on the evolution of such genes, a fact that may be more relevant in the near future. The main participants in this lab are graduation students, and we are proud of it. We hope that soon they will become important researchers, contributing for the multiplication of science knowledge.
