Thirteen years after the discovery of the first “small temporal RNA” (stRNAs), the small RNAs are considered expression modulators of extreme importance, adding a new level of complexity to our understanding about gene expression regulation. There are many recent contributions connecting the silencing machinery with the response to DNA damage. | Thirteen years after the discovery of the first “small temporal RNA” (stRNAs), the small RNAs are considered expression modulators of extreme importance, adding a new level of complexity to our understanding about gene expression regulation. Our goal is to study the influence of miRNA silencing in the response to ultraviolet (UV)-induced damage in fibroblast cell lines. Furthermore, we are also interested in the in silico determination of the mechanisms controlled by miRNAs, with a special interest in miRNAs involved in the control of repair mechanism. | Our goal is to study the influence of miRNA silencing in the response to ultraviolet (UV)-induced damage in fibroblast cell lines.
